The founders of Terraview have developed an operating system for the wine industry that provides information and forecasts for the future, helping with production, distribution and capital needs for the coming years.
Terraview is certain: Climate change is inevitably changing the way we produce food. The effects are already being felt everywhere, and specialty foods are showing the first signs. Wine is at the top of the food chain and is the most expensive and vulnerable food produced in the world. That makes this $400 billion industry very vulnerable to the changes that have already occurred.
That’s why the team led by founders Piyush Harsh and Prateek Srivastva has developed a platform and an app where potential customers can get important data and information for smart wine production. This way, yield estimates, smart irrigation options and disease forecasts of the grapes can be read and considered in time. This support revolutionizes wine production and helps growers achieve higher yields, less waste production, and thereby lowers their production costs. In addition, the environment also benefits when water for vineyard irrigation can be used in a more targeted manner.
We are pleased that Terraview has recently joined us at Technopark Winterthur.
