Two start-ups with strong links to Technopark Winterthur are among the big winners of this year's >>venture>> start-up competition. Terensis and LivXp AG are setting new standards in their fields.
At this year’s venture Startup Competition, 18 startups were recognised for their innovative strength and entrepreneurial excellence. Particularly pleasing: Terensis and LivXp AG, two companies from Technopark Winterthur, took second and third place in various categories.
Terensis, a spin-off with roots in the Runway programme and now part of the BZI innovation centre, offers predictive analyses for agricultural production. With the help of AI-based models, the start-up provides harvest forecasts up to six months in advance – a real quantum leap for planning reliability in the agricultural industry. Their data-driven approach combines sustainability with efficiency and thus makes a valuable contribution to food security in times of climate change. Terensis took second place in the Finance & Insurance category.
LivXp AG, currently part of Technopark Winterthur’s Runway programme, is developing a fan engagement platform that enables clubs, athletes and coaches to design and scale sports experiences in a targeted manner. The aim is to strengthen interaction with the fan community – both digitally and on site. LivXp’s approach is aimed at players in the sports sector who are looking for new ways to engage in dialogue with their community. LivXp AG took third place in the Retail & Consumer Service category.
In addition to these two outstanding teams, other start-ups from the TPW network also received awards:
venture has developed into one of the most important startup promotion platforms in Switzerland since it was founded in 1997. Over 1,500 start-ups have benefited from the initiative over the past 25 years and created over 15,000 jobs.
