Podcastschmiede is adding Acast formats to its Sam marketplace. Sam allows advertisers to book advertising in podcasts, including those from the Swedish provider. This will enable the global player Acast to gain a foothold in the Swiss market.
According to a press release, Podcastschmiede AG, based in Winterthur, is joining forces with Acast. It is incorporating the Swedish provider’s formats into Sam, its marketplace for advertising in podcasts. Sam users can now place advertisements directly on podcast formats marketed by Acast.
Founded in 2012, Podcastschmiede launched Sam in 2023 as a platform for advertising on Swiss podcasts. Founded in 2014, the Acast platform is used by more than 140,000 formats worldwide. ‘We already have a strong position in the German market, but we lacked a local presence in Switzerland,’ said Nina Wüst, Sales Director at Acast, in the press release. ‘This partnership is extremely valuable to us – both for monetising content and for building sustainable synergies.’
Podcastschmiede, in turn, can offer Sam users a wider range of services. ‘Acast offers one of the most sophisticated systems for hosting, analysis and advertising in the podcast sector,’ says Natalie Rotschi, who is responsible for Sam at Podcastschmiede. We are convinced that this cooperation creates a win-win situation for everyone involved.” ce/ug
