Startup founder Yanyan Huang specializes in the automation of 3D printing systems and now offers the service directly at TECHNOPARK Winterthur.
After studying mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich and working in research and development for 10 years, Yanyan Huang has now turned his attention to his fascination with 3D printing. His first area of application: unique grinders for coffee that can only be manufactured using 3D technology.
Creativity and cost efficiency
This enthusiasm for 3D printing has led the ETH graduate to found a startup and set a goal for himself in the coming months: to build a 3D printing farm. “Our vision is to make 3D printing more accessible and to be able to offer creative solutions in a timely and cost-efficient manner,” the founder tells us.
Fewer emissions in the future
His team has produced more than 3500 parts so far and now specializes in 3D printing automation. The founders now offer this service directly at TECHNOPARK Winterthur. And business is already rolling along at a brisk pace – as we can see from the many Päckli that are ready for mailing every day.
The company’s vision is to greatly simplify the establishment and operation of 3D printer farms in order to promote the emergence of local production units. Thus, in the future, components should be able to be manufactured locally and cost-efficiently when needed. This will lead to less emissions and time wasted in transportation.
We are happy that the team around founder Yanyan Huang will be at home at TECHNOPARK Winterthur in the future and wish them much success for the coming months!
