Plat4mation intends to acquire Unikomm in Riyadh, the leading partner of Californian software developer ServiceNow in Saudi Arabia. The takeover is part of the growth strategy of the ServiceNow provider based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and Technopark Winterthur.
Plat4mation is one of the leading European pure-play providers of software from the Californian provider ServiceNow. The Utrecht-based company with a presence in Technopark Winterthur is now planning to acquire Unikomm, one of Saudi Arabia’s largest providers of the cloud-based software platform for the digitalisation of business processes. Paris-based investor Keensight Capital is supporting the acquisition. The merger will accelerate the provision of ServiceNow throughout the Gulf region.
Plat4mation believes there are major growth opportunities in the Gulf monarchy. The Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 is accelerating the digital transformation and driving international investment in cloud-based automation, according to the press release. Unikomm’s regional expertise and Plat4mation’s global capabilities will help companies in the Gulf region with digitalisation. ‘With Unikomm’s local network and our global expertise, we deliver best-in-class ServiceNow solutions that will impact the future of business transformation in the Gulf,’ Elmer de Valk, CEO of Plat4mation, is quoted as saying in the press release.
The acquisition is part of Plat4mation’s expansion strategy. Investments by Keensight Capital and the ServiceNow partner network in February 2024 also contributed to this strategy. ServiceNow itself plans to invest USD 500 million in the Gulf region.
Plat4mation was founded in 2013 and already employs more than 450 people at ten locations. Based in Riyadh, Unikomm currently has over 165 employees and serves around 75 customers in Saudi Arabia. ce/yes
