Life after an offence in and after prison is a social problem. Podcastschmiede and Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung des Kantons Zürich (JuWe) are launching a podcast to explain to the public how to deal with criminal offences.
Life in, with and after prison is fraught with taboos, myths and misunderstandings in society. The Technopark Winterthur-based Podcastschmiede and the Association of Corrections and Reintegration of the Canton of Zurich (JuWe) have decided to produce and broadcast a podcast on this topic.
According to a press release, listeners will gain an insight into the daily work behind the scenes, the psychological aspects of the prison system and the importance of resocialisation measures. Prison officers, psychologists and social service staff will also have their say. They report on their personal experiences of everyday life behind bars and paint an authentic picture of everyday life in prison. In the first series, Mirjam Schlup, Head of JuWe, and Andreas Naegeli, Director of Pöschwies Prison, share their thoughts.
The podcast is divided into two episodes and is available via Spotify and Apple Podcasts. ce/ww
