Podcastschmiede has announced a change in leadership. Natalie Rotschi will take over as CEO on 1 January 2026. Founder and current CEO Nico Leuenberger will focus on another area of the business.
There will be a change in management at Podcastschmiede in Winterthur: Natalie Rotschi will take over the leadership of the company on 1 January 2026. Founder Nico Leuenberger is stepping down from operational management and will focus on the further development of the podcast advertising platform Sam in the future.
Rotschi joined the team in August 2024, working in sales and marketing. With her background in communications, her experience in a start-up environment and her ongoing master’s degree in human resources management and organisational development, she brings expertise and new perspectives to the management of the agency, according to the Podcastschmiede in its press release.
‘Our industry is in the midst of a transformation. This brings many challenges, but also opportunities. In my vision, Podcastschmiede will develop into a centre of excellence for all things audio – offering its familiar range of products and services, but also innovations and new services,’ explains Natalie Rotschi.
Leuenberger, who founded and established the podcast production company around ten years ago, will remain active in the company. His focus in the future will be on the further development of Sam, the Swiss platform for podcast advertising. ‘The agency has now matured into a successful SME. Natalie has the right qualities to take it forward, while I am looking forward to nurturing another idea with Sam,’ says Nico Leuenberger.
With the change in leadership, the podcast production company is broadening its base: in addition to Rotschi as the new CEO and Leuenberger as head of Sam, Cheyenne Mackay is joining the management team in her role as Head of Content. The company aims to secure growth and further development while preserving the core of its existing offering.
