In mid-January, the Startup Campus of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) will enable a Swiss startup delegation to appear at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (January 11–17) in the SWISS Pavilion. Together with the Founders Hive funding initiative, the startup platform is bringing five startups to Abu Dhabi to present solutions for key sustainability challenges. The SWISS Pavilion is being organized by logistics service provider T-LINK from Freienbach (SZ).
In mid-January, a Swiss start-up delegation will present its solutions to key sustainability challenges at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW). This is made possible by the Startup Campus start-up platform based in Winterthur and the Founders Hive support initiative based in Maur. According to a press release, the five start-ups will be part of the SWISS Pavilion in Abu Dhabi from January 11 to 17, organized by logistics service provider T-LINK, based in Freienbach SZ. ADSW is an international meeting place for sustainable development, climate protection, and energy transition.
“At ADSW 2026, we will be showcasing Swiss solutions that are ready for investment and deliver measurable reductions in emissions and costs – from methane detection and smart heating networks to scalable charging infrastructure and the decarbonization of gas turbines,” says Startup Campus Director Matthias Filser. The industry gathering will be used to explore partnerships, attract customers for pilot projects, and win investors.
The start-up SensorX Solutions from Sarnen, Obwalden, is showcasing a system for monitoring greenhouse gases such as methane. It has proven its functionality when integrated into cars and drones, for example. The intelligent concept for cigarette disposal from the Geneva-based Nosmo’key project is also on display. The Yuon Control team from Burgdorf BE uses predictive control software to optimize heating networks and promises to reduce operating costs by over 20 percent.
The start-up AMP IT, based in Satigny, Geneva, appeals to experts in electromobility. With the help of artificial intelligence, its solution orchestrates charging infrastructures for private individuals and companies. Ultimately, Crosstown H2R is about technology for reducing or eliminating emissions such as CO2. The team from Baden AG combines many years of industry experience and continues to develop expertise from the so-called Gas Turbine Valley.
The delegation is backed by key players in the Swiss innovation ecosystem. Startup Campus offers training and programs for founders. Founders Hive focuses on connecting startups with investors. ce/yvh
