Startup Nights 2025: Technopark startups demonstrate innovation power

From Thursday, 6 November to Friday, 7 November, Winterthur hosted one of Switzerland's largest start-up events, Startup Nights, as it does every year. Once again, the Technopark Alliance, represented by the Graubünden, Zurich and Winterthur Technoparks, was on site together with the ZHAW's RUNWAY Startup Incubator. The heart of the booth was made up of the diverse and innovative start-ups from the Technopark ecosystem.

Startup Nights are held in November at the Eulachhallen in Winterthur. According to the organisers’ website, a total of about 150 start-ups and 9,500 participants attended this year’s event. Among these 150 innovative companies were numerous start-ups from the Technopark ecosystem.

Five start-ups showcase their work

The Technopark Alliance’s booth concept at Startup Nights 2025 included not only a presentation of its own rental and development services, but also five start-ups from the Technoparks Winterthur, Graubünden and Zurich. The presentation was complemented by the ZHAW’s RUNWAY Startup Incubator, which was also represented at the stand as an important partner. These start-ups formed the core of the presentation and impressively showcased their developments and potential.

The start-up Sympheny and tenant company 56k.Cloud were present from Technopark Winterthur. Sympheny is developing a digital platform for optimised energy concepts – from individual buildings to entire neighbourhoods. 56k.Cloud is an innovative IT company that is providing strong inputs in the field of digitalisation with modern cloud applications.

The Technopark Graubünden presented two start-ups, Projecti and Findmee. Projecti sees itself as a link between architecture and digitalisation and aims to pave the way for the architectural processes of tomorrow. The recently awarded start-up Findmee is developing a monitoring platform for construction sites and their inventory. This allows construction machinery, operating times, locations and any thefts to be constantly monitored digitally.

The ETH spin-off Winduction was also present. It is developing a novel overall concept for decarbonised road transport. Vehicles are to be charged inductively via their wheels – with electricity sourced from renewable energies.

Workshop introduces a strong ecosystem

On Friday, the Technopark Alliance held a workshop with its five start-ups at Startup Nights. In addition to the presentation of the three Technoparks by managing directors Stève Mérillat, Eugen Arpagaus and Matthias Hölling, the five start-ups also pitched their innovations to the audience. Afterwards, those present discussed the opportunities, strengths and potential of the Technoparks in an open round – and made these topics accessible to a wide audience through questions and exchanges.

TPW start-ups also busy outside the stand

The Technopark Winterthur was also delighted by the presence of TPW start-ups outside the booth concept. Some tenant start-ups set up their own booth plans or drew attention to themselves and their companies in other ways.

RELiYOO showcased its innovative seat cushion in Hall 1, designed to prevent pressure sores caused by prolonged or continuous sitting – and visitors could feel its effects immediately. Borobotics shared a stand with ZHAW in Hall 2, presenting its groundbreaking drilling robot technology for geothermal drilling. Hemetron AG also had its own stand, demonstrating how its platform simplifies and improves the management of chronic diseases.

Regula Spühler and her start-up heyPatient appeared on the Digital Health panel alongside Jakob Bächtold, Managing Director of House of Winterthur, and other health start-ups. Stefan Huber from StoryUp GmbH was also active, appearing as a speaker in the workshop 10 Golden Rules for Pitching.

Visible innovation

The Technopark Alliance is delighted that all the start-ups – especially those from its own ecosystem – were able to make a strong showing at Startup Nights 2025. The innovative power inherent in all of the start-ups mentioned was more than just visible, and we are proud to be their home and to support them.
