The digital living lab WinLab is entering its fourth funding round. It is looking for innovative ideas and solutions that contribute to the further development of Winterthur as a location and can be developed and tested together with the city and other partners from the innovation ecosystem.
Companies, universities, associations and other organisations are invited to submit their project ideas. Funding of up to CHF 60,000 per project is available for selected projects. Submissions can be made via the WinLab co-creation platform until 27 October 2026.
From idea to collaborative project
WinLab is an open innovation model run by the City of Winterthur. It brings together public administration, business, academia and other stakeholders to identify promising ideas at an early stage, develop them collaboratively and test them under real-world conditions.
The co-creation platform serves as a digital meeting place for innovative projects and stakeholders in Winterthur. It enables participants to contribute ideas, connect with suitable partners and jointly develop new solutions for the city.
Once the submission period has ended, the project ideas will be reviewed and the most promising proposals will be considered for the next stage of the selection process. The aim is to work with the City of Winterthur and the regional innovation ecosystem to turn projects with potential from ideas into practical solutions.
Anyone with an innovative idea for Winterthur can now submit it for the fourth funding round. The submission deadline is 27 October 2026.
