Venture Kick is supporting the start-up TrueYouOmics, which specialises in identifying health risks, with CHF 40,000. Its analyses include both blood values and lifestyle assessments.
The start-up funding organisation Venture Kick has selected the start-up TrueYouOmics in Winterthur for the second phase of financial and entrepreneurial support, according to a press release. They will receive 40,000 Swiss francs in funding for the biotechnology research company. TrueYouOmics offers a comprehensive health risk assessment through the integration of DNA, RNA and protein data from a blood sample that goes beyond mere predisposition.
Current healthcare systems focus on treating diseases rather than preventing them, which leads to late detection, unnecessary suffering and early deaths, according to the press release. Existing solutions have a limited scope and often ignore highly relevant lifestyle and environmental factors. TrueYouOmics now offers a comprehensive, multi-automated health risk assessment by integrating DNA, RNA and protein data from a blood sample, thus going beyond mere predisposition.
TrueYouOmics’ approach combines biomedical knowledge data, network models and medical LLMs (language models) for predicting disease risks and prevention planning. The start-up gives individuals the opportunity to take control of their health and saves doctors time in preventive care and diagnostics. According to the statement, the team combines 25 years of experience in biotech, artificial intelligence (AI), pharma and start-ups to tackle this multi-billion market.
Support from Venture Kick will be used for a pilot project, the market launch and building the foundation for the MVP launch in early 2025. MVP stands for Minimum Viable Product, i.e. the first functional version of a product. ce/gba
