For start-up founders who want to systematically build up or specifically develop their project, two Innosuisse-supported programmes from STARTUP CAMPUS will be available at the beginning of 2026. The Business Concept Course is aimed at teams in the early stages, while the Business Creation Course Energy & Environment is aimed at start-ups on a growth trajectory in the energy and environment sector.
Both formats focus on practical learning, coaching and pitch experience, but with different emphases. While the Business Concept course runs over several weeks, covering everything from problem understanding to scalable business models, the Business Creation Course condenses key topics such as go-to-market, financing and regulatory issues into an intensive programme of sessions.
Business Concept Course: Refine ideas, build business models, prepare pitches
The Business Concept Course is designed as a 12-week programme starting on 24 February 2026. Participants work in teams of 4 to 5 people on real business concepts that they themselves have contributed.
The range of ideas is deliberately broad – from medtech and food to social impact and fintech. Participants are divided into topic-specific classes that match their ideas. The focus is on developing a scalable business model from an idea and shaping it into a clear, understandable story for different target groups.
Another focus is on developing a compelling investor pitch. The programme is complemented by meetings with successful entrepreneurs and the opportunity to meet potential co-founders.
The programme concludes with a pitch to investors at the Ecosystem Event. In addition, the STARTUP CAMPUS Award offers cash and voucher prizes worth over CHF 7,000. Applications are open until 10 February 2026.
Business Creation Energy & Environment: Intensive programme for start-ups on a growth trajectory
For teams that are already driving forward a specific start-up in the energy or environmental sector, the Innosuisse Business Creation Course – Energy & Environment offers a 10-session intensive programme. The focus is on hands-on coaching by experienced start-up mentors and deep dives with industry experts.
In terms of content, the programme covers key building blocks: business model and financial forecasting, go-to-market and digital marketing, growth and internationalisation, as well as investment and funding strategies.
Legal and structural issues are also part of the curriculum, including legal, IP and relevant regulatory aspects. Another focus is on sustainability, SDGs and quality management. In other words, areas where impact requirements meet market demands and framework conditions.
The course ends with pitch training and a final presentation to a jury of investors. Courses are scheduled to take place in Zurich on 7 February 2026 and in Lausanne on 6 March 2026. A waiting list is being maintained for further dates throughout the year.
