Simon Kaiser has been elected president of the ‘energie bewegt winterthur’ association. The entrepreneur, who lives in Stäfa, Zurich, succeeds Stève Mérillat, who is stepping down from the presidency after three years due to time constraints. The association comprises 88 companies and 22 individuals.
According to a press release, the General Assembly of the association ‘energie bewegt winterthur’ elected Simon Kaiser as its new president on 17 June. Kaiser studied electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. In 2008, he founded EcoLogic AG, an IT service provider based at Technopark Zurich, where he still chairs the board of directors.
The entrepreneur, who lives in Stäfa, succeeds Stève Mérillat, who is stepping down as president after three years due to time constraints. “In Simon, we have someone who perfectly embodies the heart and soul of this association,” Mérillat is quoted as saying in the press release. “As an experienced entrepreneur, he will set an important course for the association’s future.” Mérillat remains a member of the executive committee.
At the end of 2025, the association had a total of 110 members, comprising 88 companies and 22 individuals. It organises the Energy Lunch, events with the Winterthur and Surrounding Area SME Association, and workshops with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Due to high demand, the ‘Building Renovation and Heating System Replacement’ event will be held twice this year. ce/ug
