Innovative ideas, entrepreneurial ambition and strong growth potential: since 1 October 2026, startups have been able to apply for the W.A. de Vigier Award 2027. Up to five companies will each receive CHF 120,000 next year.
The W.A. de Vigier Award has long been one of Switzerland’s leading startup prizes. The foundation supports young companies at a crucial stage of their development, when access to funding, visibility and a strong network can provide an important boost for future growth.
From application to the final
Startups applying for the award go through a multi-stage selection process. From several hundred applications, 50 startups are initially selected to take part in the Selection Day, where the founders present their companies and business models to an expert jury.
In the next round, 15 startups move forward. Their CEOs take part in in-depth interviews focusing not only on the business model, but also on their vision, entrepreneurial personality and the company’s overall potential.
One distinctive feature of the award is that CEOs must apply personally and accompany their startup throughout the entire selection process. Ten companies ultimately reach the final.
Up to five startups receive CHF 120,000 each
At the award ceremony in summer 2027, up to five winning teams will be selected. Each will receive CHF 120,000 to support the next stage of development and growth.
Applications have been open since 1 October 2026. Startups ready to take the next step can now apply for the W.A. de Vigier Award 2027.
