This year’s Energy & Environment Accelerator came to a successful conclusion with the Final Pitch Event. Over the past six months, the participating startups worked intensively on refining their ideas and business models. As part of the program, they met with talented individuals, industry representatives, and investors, and prepared for their big presentation through a targeted training program.
On the final evening, the selected teams presented their innovations to partners and an audience of potential investors. The eight finalists included AMP IT, Windworks, Zählerfreunde GmbH, SensorX Solutions, Yuon Control AG, BCHAR, Hivoduct, and MOOST.
The finals were particularly successful for Yuon Control AG, which took first place. Hivoduct came in second and was also awarded the Audience Award. Third place went to MOOST.
Yuon Control AG develops intelligent, predictive control software for district heating networks. By holistically optimizing network operations and implementing active load management, operating costs can be significantly reduced. At the same time, the solution enables fully automated, continuous operational optimization and provides greater transparency and control over the entire network.
Hivoduct develops innovative compressed-air cables for efficient and future-oriented power transmission. The technology combines sustainability, safety, and performance, positioning itself as an environmentally friendly alternative in electrical power transmission. With this, the startup aims to set new standards for the energy infrastructure of tomorrow.
MOOST develops digital solutions that translate energy data into concrete, personalized recommendations for action. In this way, the startup helps energy providers and other stakeholders engage consumers more effectively and make energy use more efficient and smarter.
The accelerator was made possible by a broad network of partners. The main organizer was Startup Campus. Special thanks go to the main partner, Bloom Foundation, which contributed to the development of the program. Other partners include BKW AG, Electrosuisse, Technopark Winterthur AG, the City of Winterthur, the AWEL of the Canton of Zurich, the ZHAW, and numerous supporting organizations from the energy and innovation sectors.
The Energy & Environment Accelerator once again demonstrates how important strong partnerships and a dedicated community are for fostering sustainable innovation. The next round of the program is already in the works.
