Boost for Impact Build: CHF 40,000 from Venture Kick funding

Success for a start-up from Technopark Winterthur: Impact Build has won through in the second round of Venture Kick and will receive CHF 40,000 to further advance its technology. The start-up's goal is to drastically improve the construction industry's carbon footprint with the help of robotic manufacturing processes.

The RUNWAY Incubator startup Impact Build has won the second stage of the Venture Kick funding programme and will receive CHF 40,000 for the further development of its business model. Using robot-assisted manufacturing, the young company aims to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions in the construction industry. Impact Build is part of the RUNWAY Startup Incubator, which is based at Technopark Winterthur. For the location, this success is a strong sign.

Robotics meets sustainability

With Impact Build, founders Lauren Vasey and Kunaljit Chadha are pursuing an ambitious mission: to accelerate the transition to more climate-friendly construction methods through digital, resource-saving and robot-controlled technologies. The support from Venture Kick not only provides funding, but also valuable visibility in the Swiss start-up ecosystem.

Winterthur as a centre of innovation

The fact that a company from the RUNWAY Incubator has once again scored points at Venture Kick emphasises the relevance of start-up ecosystems such as Technopark Winterthur as a breeding ground for technology-oriented start-ups. This is where infrastructure, network and expertise meet entrepreneurial spirit – a combination that is increasingly bearing fruit.

In addition to Impact Build, the start-up Xelidoni was also honoured in the second round of Venture Kick. Both teams are therefore among the most innovative young companies in Switzerland.
