The company flexomobil AG, which was based at Technopark Winterthur until the end of 2025, has been awarded the German Federal Prize for outstanding innovative achievements in the skilled trades at the International Craft Fair in Munich. The award went to the newly developed FlexoHauslift by managing director Siegfried Schmid, which enables greater mobility in the home and is specially designed for retrofitting in existing buildings. The prize is awarded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
For older people or those with limited mobility in particular, climbing stairs can quickly become a challenge in everyday life. The FlexoHauslift offers a compact solution here: the system can be integrated into existing buildings in a variety of ways and enables safe and comfortable access to other floors. In addition, the company recommends standard-compliant handrails for indoor and outdoor areas to provide additional safety in everyday life.
Technopark Winterthur congratulates flexomobil AG and its team on this significant award and is delighted that a former member of the community is being recognized internationally for its innovative strength.
