Technopark Winterthur closes 2022 financial year with pleasing result

Last week, the annual general meeting of Technopark Winterthur AG took place. Important points were the successful annual result, the upcoming change in the management and the election of the new board member Daniel Gambon.

On May 9, the General Assembly of Technopark Winterthur AG took place.

Pleasing annual result

An important item on the agenda was the positive business result: the year 2022 could be closed with a successful result. This allowed the Board of Directors to propose the distribution of a dividend. The shareholders unanimously approved this decision. “The vacancy rate is close to zero and the many events show that our offer is well received,” said Thomas Schumann, Managing Director of Technopark.

Change in the management

In addition to the annual results, two new faces were introduced at this year’s General Meeting of Technopark Winterthur AG: Stève Mérillat and Daniel Gambon. Mérillat will take over the management of Technopark Winterthur AG as of June 1, 2023. The current Managing Director Thomas Schumann will leave TPW for a well-deserved retirement at the end of June after seven successful business years.

Daniel Gambon as new member of the Board of Directors

There will also be changes on the Board of Directors: Jürg Bischofberger and David Müller will leave the board. Jürg Bischofberger, representing the Johann Jacob Rieter Foundation, served on the Board for eight years and is stepping down due to age. David Müller recently changed employer, Kistler Instrumente AG. This prompted him to resign. Daniel Gambon was unanimously elected as a new member of the Board of Directors. Daniel Gambon is a Dipl. Masch. Ing. ETH Zürich and studied Technical Business Administration BWI. He has held various positions in the Rieter Group since 2005, mainly in finance, and has experience in real estate management.

There will be no change on the Board of Directors: Daniel Anderes will remain Chairman of the Board. He was newly elected to the Board of Technopark Winterthur AG two years ago and confirmed this year. The other ordinary business of the General Meeting was all approved unanimously.
